The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, hold an interfaith praise and prayer concert for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, tagged “Vision 2027 Concert,” is scheduled to take place at Ake Place in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, and is expected to bring together Christian and Muslim faithful for an interdenominational gathering of thanksgiving, praise and prayers.
Among those to be prayed for at the event are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and Governor Dapo Abiodun, who is the party’s candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District.
Adeola, who currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, emerged as the APC’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election after the party endorsed and subsequently affirmed him through its primary process earlier this year.
Abiodun, who is completing his tenure as Ogun State governor, is seeking election to the Senate to represent Ogun East under the APC.
According to the party, concert participants are expected to commit the party’s candidates, the 2027 electoral journey and the future of the state and country to God.
The APC said the gathering was conceived as an opportunity for members and supporters to give thanks for what it described as God’s faithfulness, while seeking divine direction and guidance as the 2027 political season approaches.
The party also described the interfaith gathering as an avenue to promote unity across religious and denominational lines, saying participants would collectively pray for the nation, its leaders and the future.
“As we look ahead, it is important that we pause to give thanks to God for His faithfulness and seek His guidance for the journey before us,” the organisers said.
